I’m Mackenzie Lauka, an instructional designer passionate about inspiring others to be better and do better. I believe through continually learning, growing, and challenging ourselves to be better, we can make a difference to do better in making the world a better place. I currently work toward my mission by creating impactful learning experiences that help people grow in their abilities and skills.
As an instructional designer with a background in marketing and learning design, I have extensive experience working with content – creating it, organizing it, strategizing it, and promoting it. Whether it’s a training module, a social media post, or an article on a website, content tells a story, and how that story is told influences how you’re going to respond. I have a unique perspective to not only design and develop content to create impactful learning experiences, but also develop strategies for marketing them so as to connect people with the resources they need and opportunities to grow.
My experience stems from being a proud graduate of The University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, and Purdue University with a Master of Science in Education in Learning Design & Technology. I have also earned the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential from the Association for Talent Development. These academic experiences, as well as my internships and work experience, led me to see how I could combine all of my interests in consumer behavior, writing, and learning to be successful in talent development.
I am an effective communicator and hard-working team player with strong project management and problem-solving skills. I take great pride in my work and always strive to exceed people’s expectations.
